God’s amazing palette, unrivalled!

Enjoyed some good hikes with great company this fall and we saw some autumn beauty. There is no artist who paints with the palette that our God uses.  There is no colour unknown to Him.  Every hue is His to use. Spring has sprung, grass has riz, walking in the great outdoors is where I is…

Springtime in the Okanagan brings plenty of opportunities to see God's fingerprints in nature.  Just step outside and go for a walk and soon you'll see His amazing handiwork! Here's a few within walking distance: [gallery type="slideshow" size="large" link="none" ids="326,329,337,327,328,330,336,331,335,333,338,334,340,339,341,332,342"] (7)  "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; (8)  or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. A haven of rest for the weary…

Where do you go to recharge your creative batteries?   How about when you know you are weary and you just need to rest?    For me, as you likely have guessed from reading my other blogs here, that rest comes in natural settings.   Get me away from the screens and the screams and into nature scenes... [gallery link="none" size="large" type="slideshow" ids="302,303,304" orderby="rand"] I found a place last week where you can hear your heart beat.  The pictures above were on the way...it was a beautiful day!  But it's winter here and where I was headed would soon show it. I suspect with a high powered telescope or and 2000mm lens…

On the Greyback in fall colours!

I had to take a dump today!  I mean a load to the dump! The car was full.  And when I was finished there I went for a quiet adventure with God and through His magnificent creation.  It was another awesome day to be with my Lord and see some the creatures He has created up close... (more…)

The road to Eneas Lake Provincial Park

The road to Eneas Lake Provincial Park turned out to be a marvellous adventure seeing and hearing God's handiwork.    Google maps said it should take about 30 minutes from Peachland so we thought why not. We maybe should have taken the hint when we left McDougald Rd. and the sign said this road is closed between end of September to End of April. But hey, it was already May 18th. And it was only 4:30pm. Plenty of time to head to the park and back by dark right? Normally maybe. This day not so much. The road grew progressively worse and by 8 kms there were trees cut away…
